Nature's Selection Foods is a division of AAB Holdings Pty Limited.

This Privacy Statement applies throughout AAB Holdings Pty Limited, to this website and to all AAB business units included on this website units to the extent they affect or involve the collection, use, disclosure or handling of personal information.

AAB and its business units understand the importance to its clients and to their customers of the discreet and confidential handling of their personal information. It is the policy of AAB and its business units to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 and the National Privacy Principles contained in that Act in all activities of AAB and its business units involving the collection, use, disclosure and handling of personal information.

In this Privacy Statement, personal information means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion (source: Privacy Act 1988).

Statement of collection and storage policy

It is the policy of AAB and its business units to only collect information necessary for it to fulfil its core business aims and to collect such information directly from the individual concerned where possible. AAB and its business units will inform the individual why the information is collected, the types of organisations to which it may be disclosed (if any) and the consequences for the individual if the individual fails to provide the information requested.

In addition, where any law requires AAB and its business units to collect information, the individual will be advised of the name of that law. Where AAB and its business units collect information about an individual, AAB and its business units will inform the individual that the individual may access the information and if necessary correct it. AAB and its business units reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to provide a copy of the information held by AAB and its business units about the individual.

AAB and its business untis are committed to taking all reasonable precautions to protect any personally identifiable information held by it from loss, misuse or alteration.

Statement of data quality

AAB and its business units will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information that it holds is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

Statement of data security

AAB and its business units pride themselves on having sophisticated data security systems, networks and procedures. In particular all databases maintained by AAB and its business units are protected by secure network links, which are complimented by firewalls, hardware and software encryption, password protection, virus protection and internal quality procedures.

All AAB and its business units' staff are required to sign confidentiality undertakings which extend to client information.

Statement of openness

On request by individuals, AAB and its business units will make known to those individuals the types of personal information it holds, the purpose for which it is held and how AAB and its business units collect, hold and use that information.

Statement of access and correction

On request by an individual, but subject to the exceptions prescribed by the National Privacy Principals, either AAB and its business units or its client for whom the information is held will provide the individual with access to their personal information and will allow that individual a reasonable opportunity to correct any inaccuracies or out-of-date information.

A request for access to the personal information held by AAB and its business units concerning an individual can be made by that individual to AAB's Privacy Officer on the numbers or address set out below.

AAB and its business units reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to provide a copy of the information held by AAB and its business units about the individual.

Statement of identifiers

AAB and its business units will not use tax file numbers or other government-issued identifiers, other than the ABN, to identify a record of personal information relating to an individual.

Statement of anonymity

Where practicable, AAB and its business units will maintain the anonymity of an individual in a database of personal information unless the identity of the individual is necessary to perform lawful activity.

Statement of trans border data flow

AAB and its business units will not transfer personal information relating to an individual outside Australia unless the individual has consented to such a transfer or AAB and its business units are satisfied the recipient of the personal information will uphold principals for the handling of personal information which are similar to the National Privacy Principles.

Statement of sensitive and health information

AAB and its business units will apply particularly stringent procedures to its collection, use, disclosure and handling of any personal information which includes sensitive information (e.g., information concerning race, religion, political affiliations) or health information (e.g., information concerning an individual's medical condition).

Statement of AAB and its business units' clients

Being a customer communications company AAB and its business units will be engaged by its clients to perform various services that might involve the handling of personal information. AAB and its business units will obtain from its clients assurances that all such personal information has been collected lawfully and in compliance with the National Privacy Principles and that all required consents have been obtained for the intended use of that personal information.

All disk / information / e-mail will be immediately destroyed following completion of campaigns.

AAB and its business units require strict compliance with the National Privacy Principles by all of its subcontractors.

Statement of our policy regarding recruitment

If you have disclosed information to AAB and its business units in the course of applying for a position with the company, AAB and its business units confirm that it retains all material relating to unsuccessful applications for a period of 12 months, at which time the material will be shredded. Information provided in the course of applying for a position with AAB or its business units will only be disclosed to your referees in order to process your application.

Statement of policy regarding information provided to obtain credit

If you have disclosed personal information in the course of an application for credit from AAB or its business units the company will only disclose such information to the credit referees nominated by you and to its credit rating agency, for the purpose of dealing with your credit application. Should you fail to provide the information requested your application for credit would not be processed.
